Notice how everyone who has posted is from U.K./netherlands ect. It would seem that you can't get a proper curry here in the states. I'm jealous every time i see you all post your curry plates ect, when a random food thread comes up

I tried getting "curry chicken" from a chinese place down the street and it was horrible. not to mention it looked nothing like what you all post.

You guys are lucky...I want some =(

When me and my ex were in Portland a couple years ago we went for both a curry and a chinese (obviously not at the same time) and they were both totally different to what we were used to.

It was still quite nice but it was nothing like what we get back home. Curry truly is one the great British foods (as ironic as that is )

I can't do spicy super hot curry. It'd literally burn me a new hole the next day.

I like a curry that is mildly hot, not enough so that I'm sweat my arse off, but enough to leave a bit of a zing on my tongue.
