Default I am Legend
Just watched the movie again, on DVD. I still love it and still think it's one of the most awesome movies I've ever seen. I know a lot of people, critics especially, don't agree but they can just go watch their own favorite movies, I'm cool with that.

I didn't even mind the original ending.

How does it compare to "The Omega man?"

I had a few friends over the other night to watch it on Blu-ray with Dolby TrueHD and they absolutely loved it. Skip Lievsay is one of my favorite sound re-recording mixers/supervising sound editors around and hearing a lossless representation of his work is quite the treat.

I'm currently reading Ordinary People and intend on reading 1984 some time soon. I know the story of the book and I think I'll give it a miss.

1984 was probably the best assigned reading ever.

i would rather read it 2000 times than read the junk that we got in ibhl english.

Didn't like it, slightly wary of anything starring Will Smith (how many times can he save the ******* world?) but chuck in Jumanji-quality CGI animals, unimaginative, unconvincing and unscary digital baddies, simultaneous overacting and underacting, that dog, those mannequin scenes...blah blah blah.

I honestly enjoyed Hancock more and that's saying something.

Great film indeed, have you read The Stand? Same sort of thing but much much longer, good read.

All this talk of the original ending.... is there an alternative ending on the dvd or something?

I enjoyed the movie somewhat, but it just felt a bit to rushed for my liking.

That you have horrendous taste in films? Hancock was a preachy yet a dumbed down hero flick wannabe comedy that got lost in the woods and forgot what genre it belonged in and managed to fail at achieving any.

Hancock was alright I thought, but it was definitely a great date film. Shame all the really funny parts were shown in the trailers about 6 months before release.

The movie was very underrated.

I thoroughly enjoyed it. It does not improve on BluRay due to shoddy CGI though.

Someone save me from the Will Smith fan club.

I'd rate them, with '5' as average:

I am Legend - 2/10
Hancock 3/10

I've got nothing against Will Smith. I think he's a great actor, but I am kind of sick of his face. He just needs to go away for a while. It was the same thing with Tom Hanks, I grew very tired of him.

and for that reason I haven't got around to seeing I am Legend.
