Root canal would be good to keep the tooth there, but he said it could lead to it being brittle later, crown involved etc not sure what that would cost, I'll phone tommorrow and ask. |

My record is 5 injections for 1 tooth and it still wasn't numb [help] I'd not slept for 2 days though so she pulled it anyway, told me to hang on and not hit her hehe.
Worst bit is the sound, the nice wet crunch when they push and twist the tooth, yummy! Root canal isn't that bad, I had one done 5 years ago and not had any problems with it at all. Probably one of my best teeth. |

My record is 5 injections for 1 tooth and it still wasn't numb [help] I'd not slept for 2 days though so she pulled it anyway, told me to hang on and not hit her hehe. 9 injections, my whole mouth jaw etc... felt like it was gone. I'm quite certain the dentist when to B&Q for the tool to take out my teeth. Some big pliers and she was struggling!... My whole mouth was numb for a few hours, had difficulty swallowing my saliva so it all dribbled out the front, talking was an hilarious effort, should have recorded myself ![]() Worse thing was, I had to walk home, needless to say I took all the back routes instead of the high street [rofl][rofl] chris0288, for 1 injection you'll be fine, it'll be numb for sure, but at least you can talk and swallow reasonably well. Get a lift back if you can perhaps, don't take the bus, people have a habit of knowing when something is up with someone [rofl] |

When I was going to have braces fitted I was told I had too many teeth, I needed 4 molars taken out, 1 in each corner of the mouth. Are you guys talking about injections into the gums or the arm? |

They took all your teeth out at the same time? When I had to have couple of teeth out for braces they did them separately, did one one day and the other another. I don't recall them giving me a choice, either way I think it was for the best, I felt no pain, even after the anaesthetic wearing off, I got it done in the afternoon and was eating soft foods for dinner ![]() |

How can things so small(teeth) screw people up so badly ALSO why do humans suck so much in this area?, sharks replace their teeth every what? week or something lol Humans grow 2 sets then just give up |

They're actually very bloody good these days.
I had 2 nasty rotting big buggers taken out at the same time, forget the amount of needles, must have been 7 or so, I asked for more.. Nothing to worry about, the chick that dug mine out was done in 20mins even though they were breaking up and all sorts of crap. |

I've had problems with teeth on the right side of my mouth for a while now, one of my mollars(sp?) on the bottom was heavily filled and I started getting REALLY bad pain when eating, shooting so it felt like the top 2 teeth, the pain would come on after I'd finished eating and last for 10 mins or so. |

Ugh. I had a tooth out, as my previous dentist had not done the filling right about 2-3 years beforehand. I wish I had been put to sleep, cause it has to be one of the worse things ever. I had the usual anesthetic, the tooth ended up being really tough to get out, she was almost on top of me using all her strength. Horrible. The sounds, the feeling, the pressure they apply...I get chills thinking about it
![]() Then I got up, went downstairs to go pay for all the work that I had done then fainted. ![]() Anyway, good luck! ![]() |

Then I got up, went downstairs to go pay for all the work that I had done then fainted. I had a similar thing happen. Had a nasty infection from getting my wisdom teeth out. Was finding it hard to breathe, so went to the dentist and they drained a cup of pus out [surrender] Got up to go pay and promptly passed out. Woke up on the dentist chair with an oxygen mask on. Was lovely. ![]() |

Can you get it pulled out and then have one of those fake teeth screwed in? It would be just like a real tooth, only it would never get a cavity.
Funny I came upon this thread being I've been to the dentist three times in 7 days. (just taking advantage of my insurance before it changes in a few weeks) ________ Lovely Wendie99 |

Well I got the tooth out yesterday, was out of it for half an hour looks like, all I remember was the doctor who was present sticking a needle in my arm then MOVING IT!, my arm's killing me too. Then I remember being able to taste/smell the aneasthetic stuff that he was injecting then nothing.. Until I woke up thinking it was time to go to work rofl...wondering why are these three people helping me up?! and why does my face hurt?! But aye, not very nice, was in agony yesterday, slightly better today but all I can taste is blood, can't chew right, think I'm talking funny too. Hope I can learn how to chew again lool |
