Bit off topic..French related... but what is up with them and speaking English

i first thought they can't ,but they are just shitting with us right ?

I hope the French aren't that seriously stupid. Even the audience. I mean come on, I learnt that question when I was like 4 years old.

Kinda reminds me of the US one where the guy asked.

"Which is bigger"
A) A cat B) A Horse
C) An elephant D) The Moon

And the women picked the elephant. It amazes me that these people even manage to get on the show. Don't you need to pass a test or quiz at the start and be the quickest one to do it to get on?

That's a fake. The female in the picture is actually an English contestant answering a decidedly more difficult question.
