Then I'd be the father to a LOT of children...
Imagine the amount of money you'll be paying for child support. You might as well end your life yourself then

No offense, but you shouldn't just go saying things like that without the whole picture. There was some fear mongering going on and people got worked up for nothing because they weren't told the whole picture. In fact, there are, imo idiots, people who are trying to sue the DOE, Fermilab, CERN and such over the issue.

Sure there is a chance that a black hole will be created. If Hawking is right it will evaporate. Even so, there are cosmic rays hitting the earth with order magnitude 7-8 times higher energy than will be produced at the LHC.

LSAG [LHC Safety Assessment Group] reaffirms and extends the conclusions of the 2003 report that LHC collisions present no danger and that there are no reasons for concern. Whatever the LHC will do, Nature has already done many times over during the lifetime of the Earth and other astronomical bodies. Read this: http://press.web.cern.ch/public/en/LHC/Safety-en.html

But what if it tears a hole in the fabric of space and zombie hordes from an alternate universe invade? Hawking would be royally screwed then.

Maybe that's Hawking's masterplan? Maybe he is an alien zombie in disguise?[shocked]
