Well, I have an interview at 1:30 at Gamestop in the mall. Getting a little nervous. Always do and I hate it. I also usually have pretty decent interviews and that there is nothing to worry about. Just so annoying.
Anyways, I had applied to a few of them around here on the internet. They all need managers, assistant-managers, and general workers so I applied for all positions at 3 stores. This store called me back, and asked me to bring in my resume so it seems like I have good chances that this interview is for a managers position! I already have 6 months official manager experience (keys to the store and everything), and 6 months shift leader in the food business, so I hope that with me being 19, they don't feel like I am not qualified because of my age. Interview is in 4 hours. Going to mow my friends yard here in a little bit which should help keep things off my mind so this anxiety doesn't build up. Been looking for a job since January. A few popped open but fell through so I hope that this is it. If I do get it, gotta figure out what to do with work and school though since I want to continue on to my BS. Wish me luck! [thumbup] |

Going to get the call back later this week.
Started out a little rough, but then just got better and better imo. I feel good about it overall, but can't stop thinking about those first 5 minutes. ![]() Overall it was great. Seems like I will get it. Not sure what position, pay, title or anything like that yet. Hopefully they give me a good offer before I am 100% committed to school this semester and get instate tuition costs in Alabama in time. Seems like if I do get it, that I will be working at a brand new store that hasn't opened yet so that will be pretty nice. Will also be in Cleveland which sees less volume of shoppers then down at the mall. |

You don't need to be nervous because you don't have to be anything but yourself and you should know exactly how to be that. If anyone should be nervous it's the interviewer and hiring manager. It's their job to hire the right people. If you aren't yourself, they'll be able to tell and they'll have to guess who you are. No one wants to hire someone on a guess so they'll take the sure thing even if he's a little worse off than you. That's how I view it.
