Ah, so this is the question now - well, make your mind up, and get the facts right too. The prison population of white and asians is not the same: the former is massively larger than the latter. You should be talking about the prisoner numbers as a percentage of the total population. But anyway, let's move on to "he just blames it on racist whitey." Where? Where exactly did I use the exact words "the 5.6x times difference between the white and black prisoner percentage figures is due to white racism[/i]? Previous to my comment in this post, I've not made a commitment one way or another, and even now I only believe that part of the difference is due to racism.

Since neither of us are legal experts nor members of any police authority, all we can do is comment on the statistics - and the above data suggests that the proportion of Asian people in prison is only slightly higher than for white people could be due to that less of them, proportionally, have been convicted or found guilty.

Now to really answer the real part of your question "do I believe the larger % figures for black people is due to racism", I would answer yes - in part. I certainly don't think it accounts for all it but I believe it plays a notable role (if you wish to entirely disagree then I suggest you pass your comments on to Lord Macpherson).
