So, our cable serviced just changed a few channels.
They changed two channels and they have been doing it quiet often lately. The question came up as to why they do it, but no one could come up with an answer. So why do cable companies change their channels? Now get this. For say channels, 2 to 98, the channels that are changed are swapped out or go to empty channels. No channels are added or deleted. They same number of channels and types of channels are still there, just that a few at a time change their location. Makes no difference at all if they are channel 13 or channel 64. All that I can think of is that they change channels to move them towards certain sectors of their channels to control viewers, and what they might watch. |

Our cable company used to change the channels once or twice a year, or at least it seemed that often. They've haven't done anything major in a few years, though. They've swapped a channel here or there, but nothing like it used to be, where I would have to look at a little card to see where each channel was.
