Hi all,
Quick question: A few of my neighbours have paid for a dropped kerb but have no driveway (just a brick wall). I know it is illegal to block in somebody else's car by parking on the road but what if they have no drive? I don't park over drives, just wondering out of interest! |

If you live along a busy street, some people do that, to basically reserve that spot for parking. My Nan did this, She lives on a very very busy street for parked cars and got so fed up with random cars outside her house with no space for visitors, even tho she has no space for a drive, she paid for a drop kerb, PURELY to keep a space open for her visitors.
Some guy kept parking in the space anyway, and she phoned the council up and said "insert number plate" was parking across the drop kerb she paid for and they sent a traffic warden out and issued a parking ticket ![]() I dont think they will issue a ticket in just passing, they would have to complain about it. so no, i wouldnt unless its outside your house [thumbup] |
