Not much for burnouts myself. That is big money right there being wasted and I couldn't have that.

Sort of makes me want to drop a V8 in my Datsun.
Also makes me want to go out and buy a 3rd generation Camaro! [thumbup]
I think my 30's/40's dream car is going to be a Dodge Challenger 429cu.in. stroker with a supercharger! Mmm, more a 'Cuda with a crate 526, blower and dual four barrel throttle bodies - or maybe just a 526 and throttle bodies on a cross ram.

Where their any old school muscle/pony cars there? Were there any new guys like a G8, or any SRT8's there?
Do those guys work on anything old and carburated?
See blue above.

I was there all day, great day even though it ended early.

Speed Inc is a well known speed shop/tuner for V8 domestic cars, they've built some crazy cars over the years. Every year they host an open house and we get to have a little fun. This year the cops objected, but no one was harmed and all had a good time (except the guys who got tickets. ). We knew what we were doing was illegal, and we'll do it again next year. So those who wish to argue about unsafe stuff, well it'll fall on def ears.
i should have brought the 69 chevelle i built. if i knew where it was, the event that is.

First the megamoan - why, oh why, do people insist in putting horrible music on car clips?[cursing] This is also one of my gripes about Top Gear - JC says listen to that engine and it's drowned out by "music"[rofl]. Hearing an engine working hard is all the sounds we need![thumbup]

That said, some nice looking vehicles there (even saw an early Mazda RX7) and no-one was hurt - deafened maybe?

How does one do a burn out like that?

If you just planted your foot, yes the cars wheels will spin but it will move forward.

How do they keep the car stationary for so long while the wheels are spinning?

Press the brake lightly. Enough that it will stop the front wheels from moving, not so much that it over powers the rear wheels.

Cool video, but I just can't see wasting tires like that.. they're pretty expensive after a while. =\ But if you can do it, and not mind the bank toll, more power to ya.
