Default New Car... Zoom Zoom Zoom!
Traded my 2003 Civic Si with 70k miles..

...for a brand new 2008 MazdaSpeed3. This is my very first new car purchase. My previous cars were always used.

This thing goes! It's FWD which I don't mind cuz I don't really plan on taking this on a track.

I'm a 2007 MS3 owner
Hey it may be FWD but it still has great grip with those Potenzas and it's cornering is pretty nice. Great car and i've only had it for 11months and 14300 miles. Not one thing has gone wrong and not one complaint.

Nice car, I have thought about buying one myself, though I am far more likely to go with a Lancer Ralliart Sportback it looks like Mitsu as let slip that it is coming stateside in early 2009, which is about the time I will have saved enough to get rid of my hated 2005 Sentra.

You the one who had the Toyota MR2 and traded it in for that Civic?

Pretty nice upgrade. I would have grabbed a Cobalt SS, but still an excellent choice!

MPG is around 18city/26hwy

if i stay below boost i can conserve fuel but i haven't paid attention on the exact MPG while driving

Which one do I like more....this is a bit close but so far i love my MS3, but i also loved my Civic Si.

Quality: Tied
Interior: MS3
Exterior: Tied (i like the rear of the Civic Si better though)
Performance: MS3, when the boost kicks in....wow
Handling: MS3, haven't really toyed with the car but i can feel much less body roll.
Features: MS3
Livability: Tied (civic si gets better gas mileage)
Comfort: MS3 seats have better support

and look at the price, for $22k you get a practical hatchback that is faster than a 350z (rolling start acceleration)

for the performance alone, I

That car looks hot, and don't really have to mod the exterior cause its got a great shape.
FWD is still fun to drive, plus I'm more of a mazda guy

Got a Mazda 3 2.0 Sport myself. Nice car and can get 35MPG out of it if I drive sensibly. Plus it only costs me about £300 to insure [rofl]
