Default Met the girl of my dreams.... d'oh!!!
I met her at the veterinarian when I took my dog in a few weeks ago. Each time I returned for follow-ups with my dog, she was there. The first and second time I met her she kept giving me the opportunity to ask for her phone number but I never did. I still had vet business to conduct and didn't want to mess it up by asking out my vet lady.
Well, today was the last visit with the dog and I don't plan on going back for a while. I knew this was the girl of my dreams. She seemed so familiar like I knew her and she would look at me like she knew me too... but we had never met prior to my dog getting sick.

There was like some kind of... something between us. She would look deep into my eyes and all that and would kind of stare at me when I wasn't looking at her. I knew she knew I was the dude of her dreams and stuff too. I even told a friend of mine I was going to marry her. There was something between us, like magnetism and I knew she felt it too!

Anyways so I asked her out today. I knew she would say yes because it was meant to be. Well, she said that she certainly can't and that she's married!!! D'oh! I didn't see that coming! I just had to laugh and then I said have a nice one. I was not expecting that at all.

I guess I need to look closer for a ring. I swear I never saw one, but I'm not sure if I ever looked that close. There was no need because I knew she was my girl!

haha... anyways, it is weird how sure I was about all that and how wrong I was.

Anyways, thought it was kinda funny so I wanted to tell ya. The girl of my dreams is married!

And this is why you can't trust your gut.
I know some details are missing, but did you just straight out ask her for her number? Or did you already start talking to her to get to know her? You know, sometimes women will say stuff so you stop talking to them. Maybe she isn't married but is just saying that so you will leave her alone. I know some of my female friends have told guys that they have a boyfriend already, even though they don't. Don't know which is better - getting flat out rejected or lied to.

It was a bit awkward... but whacha gonna do?

I asked if she wanted to meet up for coffee later. I didn't ask for her number. Thought we'd go talk a bit more at the Starbucks.

It's also kinda relieving too. I don't have to think about her anymore.

Well it's good that you got it out of the way. This is the way that it should be. Too many times guys will waste their time and try to be their friend. The girl only wants to be friends and the guy is trying to work up his magic on her. It rarely works, so it's better to let the girl know that you are interested right off the bat. Remember, girls want to be with guys that ideally have SMP (Sex, Monday, Power).

Agreed. Nothing worse than thinking "what if..." for the next few months of your life.

Who's to say that she is married to the right person? And you so happen to be that "someone"?

Good job man... you got out there and you followed your gut. And even though it was a diappointing result, you did it becuase it felt right and now you don't have to die wondering.

Keep this up man and you will find that dream girl in no time.

Respect. [thumbup]

I bet you all think this white text is me saying something smart arse... but it just here becuase I made you look. I meant what I said... jerks! =oP

Remember, no matter how bad things seem right now, it can always get worse.
