Ok. this plane is just horrible in gusty conditions. It's like trying to control a paper napkin in a hurricane. It's everywhere all the time as you can see from my hilarious landing. It's a really fun and stable plane when it's calm though.
The plane is a Hangar 9 1:5 scale Sopwith Camel that I converted to electric. It weighs less than 3500 g and has a wingspan of 61". I made a special battery/motor mount that makes the plane 500 g lighter than stock. I should film my new RC helicopter flying.
While my heli isn't as impressive as tah's I'm sure you guys will get a little giggle out of my accidents. ![]() I have a coaxial black hawk RC heli. So it's been to learn with. You can't use the thing in any wind... I actually had a mid air crash because I over stressed the heli blades in the wind fighting it. [rofl] |
