Default PC Stores in Inverness
Is there anywhere in Inverness scotland I can buy PC gear, like decent graphics cards and motherboards at reasonable prices?

Cheers for your help

always buy online m8 , the 'wee' computer shops are generally high price as they do not buy in bulk and have to maximise profits . ie : 8800gt online is about 140 delivered , but you would pay around 180-200 in a local shop

inverness is pretty poor

the best place to go is elgin theres a store called computer logic just as you are about to exit elgin just as you are about to pick up the a9 to aberdeen.

go passed the burger king and mcdonalds keep looking to your right and its on the road before the last roundabout, after near the football pitches.

he does everything and its cheap

http://www.smilelocal.com/computer_s...essories/elgin.

I picked up an asrock am2 mobo, 2 gig ddr2 800, 160gb maxtor sata h.d.d and an axp x64 4000+ for just over 100 squids.

he had some 8800 gt's and radeons.

nice bloke (Indian) so be sure to haggle.

aboot an hours drive from inverness but its worth it.

be sure to check his bargain buckets as you walk in.

You're still living up a Reay (IIRC), how was/is the winter - can be really mild some years and frigging cold and snow bound other years.
The area was pretty sparsely populated thirty odd years back, and I expect things haven't changed much, but you've thought there would be a healthy market for those not into drinking, shagging and fighting ... Heck, even back in the early seventies we were being taught basic programming in high school.
