man, I'm such a ****ing idiot....so there is this girl that works in my store that supposedly like me, that works only occasionally when she is back from school. A mutual friend of ours tried to hook us up for the past 2 weeks, and me being a jerk, have tried avoiding the whole deal because in work clothes she looked ok. So yesterday we finally go out, her me and a few co-workers, and as soon as she walks in I'm floored. She looks nothing like she does in work clothes, in street clothes she just looked like a different person. So we talk and drink, have a good time, I take her home and we exchange numbers. However she leaves for school a week from today, and goes to school far, like 4 hours away. And since we arent that far into it, its not like im going to drive all the way out there, she'll think I'm sicko or something. What should I do ? I feel like a retard since if I started talking to her earlier, atleast we would have been far enough into the relationship that I would feel comfortable driving down there to be with her once in a while.

Theres other means of keeping in touch. You have her number now, theres always email and instant messaging. I would just keep in contact with her and see how things progress and if it does eventually get to the point where you both want to take it to the next level, then go out and see her. You have both seen each other in real life so the initial scoping each other out is over so thats no surprise. Keep in touch and see what happens if you like this girl.

Agreed with the others. Just keep in contact with her now and then, but don't bet all your chips on her. The timing just isn't right at the moment.
