I orderd some gifts last monday, and paid for guranteed arrival by December 21st but no arrival yet. I was just wondering, do packages move on saturdays and sundays still through DHL? I am hoping it will get delivered on Monday, but supposedly they stop delivering by 2 p.m. on Monday. You think they deliver anything on Saturday during holidays to get stuff done? Tracking number says its with delivery courier in a major city about 100 miles away. You think it will make it by Monday? I don't know how good DHL is, never had anything shipped with them.

DHL is my least favorite out of all carriers. I don't know if they're any better where you are, but they're unbelievably slow and unorganized where I am. When I bought my car earlier in the year, the dealership sent my license plates to me via DHL Overnight 10 AM service. I didn't get them until the day after they were supposed to arrive, and after 3 PM at that. The great part was that the package had all of that "Overnight 10 AM" crap plastered all over it. I could have driven to the dealer in 45 minutes or so, so what did DHL do? They sent the package out of state to their sorting facility, to come back to my state to the local distribution center, and finally to my house. The best part about their wacky delivery method is that if you drew a line from their sorting facility in PA to their distribution center in NJ, my house would probably be somewhere right in the middle of that line. [rofl] Idiots... [rolleyes]
I really hope that they're better where you are. ![]() Edit: With all of that said, UPS isn't exactly much better. The UPS driver that we had earlier in the year never delivered a few packages. For all intents and purposes, we live on a dead end road. The times he didn't deliver our packages, he drove right down our street, turned around at the end, and drove right back up the street without ever getting out of his truck. After we complained to UPS, the guy had the nerve to knock on our door the one day and flat out tell us that he left the packages right on our front porch and that someone must have stolen it. I guess he wasn't bright enough to realize what the phrase "we were both home at the time" means, and that our dog goes completely nuts when someone starts walking toward the house...[ban] Although I think we got a new UPS driver, because my Christmas gifts all came on time and none were "stolen". |
