Default Just paid for ebay item with paypal but cred card was cancelled?
So I just bought an air filter for my car off of eBay and I went to pay for it with paypal. I didn't have any money in my paypal account so the money will come by instant transfer. My bank account has sufficient funds to complete the transaction, but the credit card I used (for backup purposes I think?) was actually canceled because I lost it a week or two ago and thought it was stolen. Will this transaction still go through? I've tried calling the seller but no one is answering. Seems to me it should go through because isn't it just a bank account wire? It lists my credit card as a "backup" for funds.

Well I have a confirmed payment reciept so it looks like it has gone through? I'm not 100% sure though so if anyone knows about this. I tried calling paypal and sat on hold forever and ended up hanging up since I've got class. [cursing]

If you haven't got a card attached to your account anymore, then you will send an e-cheque, at least thats what happened here.

Just incase anyone is wondering, yes, the transaction went fine. It was a withdrawl from my bank account and a deposit into the vendors account. The credit card was a backup should the buyer not have sufficient funds in his bank account to pay for the item, and, in my case, my bank account did have sufficient funds so the credit card was not needed in the transaction.
