Default Fook, put the wrong address for delivery!
I put the wrong address, basically a typo when I ordered something online. Then someone else signed for it! I went to the address ( was 11 instead of 191 ) and the person was not there. However a nice lady next door took my number. She called me back and said that the person had realized it was not for them and called back the driver.

So I am in limbo at the mo, it was done by parcelforce. What should I do next, cannot believe i made such a stupid mistake! [cursing]

Not honest, since the parcel would clearly have YOUR name on it, either way, you should contact the place of purchase and explain what has happened.

Yep, I sent a webnote to them explaining the situation. Hopefully it gets resolved its only like £50, but that turns in to £100 if it all goes wrong.

Cheers mate, so annoying as I was out buying a printer so late home from work. If only I had gone home early i could have contacted them tonight.

EDIT> Just checked with my credit card holder, they are sending me a dispute form just in case. It has come up as a address match problem on their system luckily. So surely the people who took my payment should have emailed me to say my payment had been declined??

Yeah. That's odd. If you paid via CC it should have been declined because the address didn't match. And I can't stand how shipping companies will let anyone sign for your package. Fedex over here is so bad that they'll even deliver it to another address *like a neighbor* and let them sign and they think that's acceptable.

Well I am crossing off Novatech on my list, they charged my credit card twice! [cursing] My card holders are sorting it and said it is a void transaction.

Spoke to novatech who said they would sort my delivery. However seems they have done nothing at all as I rang parcelforce off my own back. They confirmed they had the package and would be delivered tomorrow.

Generally etailers will allow delivery to a different address IF you have ordered from them before.

If it was your first time then Novatech allow alternative shipping address, can't really see any other reason.
