I was just wondering if anyone has some information or opinion on the origins of Indo Aryans - the lighter skinned people towards the north of the Indian sub continent, as opposed to the darker skinned people of the south, known as the Dravidians?
From what ive been looking at there seems to be a confliction of information of their origins. Some say that the north was invaded by the Scandanavian countries, or that it was originally inhabitied by them and the mixing of people lead to the them. Most of the information seems to center around the linguistic similarities of the Indo Aryans languages and the old Scandanavian variations, but there seem to be a lot of mixed information out there. If anyone knows anything, or could shed some light on this, id be very appreciative! |
