Default So who would get into more trouble?
http://www.break.com/index/idiot-kid-headbutts-cop.html

I thought Police weren't allowed to do such acts as the one in the video? I know that they're allowed to use "appropriate force" but is that considered appropriate force?

I see nothing wrong there, it's not even a choke hold. Assaulting a police officer will land that fool in prison if he's old enough.

i am pretty sure the policeman has a nosebleed...as to too much force...just looks like he has him in a headlock to me...maybe it is the wrestleing sleeper hold, but not sure. Now if all of a sudden he put the Iron Claw on that kids forehead...well, then he'd be one baddass copper!

I thought the ideal way of dealing with a confrontation like the chav did to the police was just to back off a bit and give some room between him and the chav.

Not whack the chav across the head.

assaulting a police officer is a pretty big deal. now lets say the kid... i dunno poked the officer and called him fat. that would NOT be an okay time to take him to the ground in my eyes or any one elses eyes i would imagine. however head butting him and making him bleed pretty badly, well im shocked thats all he got.

I was focusing more on the when the chav was like kissing distance with the police, not the bit after he head butted the cop.

okay

i would say that they were both being asses then. ya the cop antagonized the kid but the kid did the same back. the kid could just as well walked away or done something else besides antagonize him. however i dont think that the cop deserved what the kid do to him by any means. should the cop have his badge taken away? nah...

At no point was it viable for the police officer to step back after he told that kid to move back. The fact that you even think it was a good idea to show any form of weakness when out numbered to that degree shocks me.

In the USA, if a cop gets in your face, you better be the one to step back, right or wrong. If you don't you're going to get your ass handed to you.

So that's what tough guys look like in the UK? haha!

It looks like the police officer prevoked the guy into it really. Not saying what the kid did was the right thing to do but some blame must be put on the cop. It's like if you corner a dog and threaten it, it is going to attack you. I swear cops these days are stupid, it's what people do when they can't get another job because they didn't pass school.
