Default link pc and laptop how?
Hi all,my mate is round my house my computer is connected to the internet though wired connection my my modem is wireless,my mate has a wireless laptop and is currently sharing my connection how can we link the pc and laptop together,so if i wanted yo send him a 1gb file it wount take that long? also so we can play lan games,thanks in advanced.Alan

If they are networked, just set up file sharing.

file sharing should work right away
just go to \\computername

I'd put both pcs in the same workgroup though --> rightclick my computer -->properties

Try playing a game. LAN should just work. I don't remember having to set anything up for LAN games.

If they are networked together, all modern games should be able to find other computers on the network. If you are on XP just run the network setup wizard. You dont need to on vista.
