Default Don't sweat it!
Does anyone have some good tips on how not to sweat? I have a tendency of sweating through dress shirts. I don't know what it is, but if my torso doesn't get fresh air it just seems to overheat.

Tomorrow I have to attend an outdoor wedding in the blazing sun. Tips and suggestions?

Don't tuck your shirt in, use loads of antiperspirant, try not to move too much, stay out of direct sunlight and stand in a breezy area. Apart from that you could always pack your underwear with frozen peas. [thumbup]

Uh yeah I'd just try and wear something nice that breathes because Antiperspirant is terrible for your body and has been linked to Alzheimer's Disease because of the Aluminum in it among other things because of the various toxins as well. Just use Deodorant and hope for the best. Honestly sweating isnt such a bad thing besides the uncomfortable feeling because it shows that your body is functioning correctly and trying to cool you down. Be glad you can sweat because there are people out there that can be out in the hot sun all day and not be able to sweat much at all.

I sweat like a teabag, used to bother me but I don't give a monkeys now, sweating is a natural thing, like taking a dump, not nice but everyone does it (admitedly not outdoors at a wediding), and the less I let it bother me the less I sweat, I'd never use an anti-perspirant just deodorant, I wear loose cotton clothing and ususally make sure there is a cool place somewhere so I can go and cool off if I need to.

Wear a couple of vests/t-shirts under the shirt to soak up the sweat.

Black dress shirts tend to show less sweat and wearing no underwear works as well.

Probably not so great for a wedding, but might be worth a shot for other activity's.

In any case I think you've been given the best tips possible for a wedding.

Great. It's like 16 hours until the wedding and my pants don't fit. Well, I can get them on, but that's about it. Weight really creeps up on me without any signs... until I try to put on a pair a pants from two years ago.

You probably suffer from Hyperhidrosis. There's many different types and I suffer(ed) from excessive arm pit sweat. You can get surgery on most of it or go see a doctor for other means.

What I ended up doing, however, was picking up a product called Certain Dri A.M. It's a roll-on that is suppose to protect for 24hrs (and it actually does). There's also a product that goes with it that you can use at night before bed which I also use just called Certain Dri. Unless it's some really shitty shirt that anybody would pit sweat up, I no longer have to worry about getting embarrassing pit stains. No other product I've tried as worked and I've tried a whole bunch.

Well. . .

For starters, don't drink anything with caffeine, as it's a natural diuretic.

If you're really scared about it, don't drink any water. Your body doesn't sweat when it's dehydrated.

But really, though, it's cool. . .people sweat, poo, pee, spit, sleep, bleed. . .it's all stuff our bodies normally do.

I don't know how true it is, but I have heard people say the more you worry about it, the worse it gets. I went through some excessive sweating when I was a fat fooker. I don't let it worry me any more and it's much better. Placebo? Maybe, but if it works who cares?

I was at a dermatologist the other day and they had surgical procedures to reduce sweating, specifically in the hands though. haha. Don't know if you would be interested in researching that.

Drink loads and loads of beer, then you could piss your pant's and vomit on the bride and you won't even know you've done it, then sweating will become the least of your problems.

Or wear this, you may have to buy a new suit but there is a fan inside so it'll keep you cool

Just to add to this:

Most antiperspirant's do have aluminum in this and it is bad for your body, however so do most deoderants. But there are a handful of both that do not, I suggest running to the store and checking out one of the lesser known brands or one that has Natural in the title (Tao natural, Jason Natural). Just be sure to check the active ingrediants.

Five hours until the wedding. Just finished my last-minute strategy. Took a 45-minute run in the sun around the duck lake. If my medical reasoning is correct (and it rarely is), all the sweat should have poured out of my body.

Hey, does anyone use those natural stones under their pitties? I've never tried, but each store that sells them has some twitchy guru who swears they work great after you've used them for a month or so.
