Default Rome Season 2 Episode 2?
Just watched this. How come this episode was only 50 minutes long when all the rest are an hour? Did the BBC cut something out?

I haven't seen the second season yet, man. I don't have HBO so I relied on visiting a friend and watching it off on-demand. He's out with his race team for the next few months so I won't get to see it for awhile.

I've noticed a few episodes fluctuate in length.

Anyway, safe to say Atia isn't a happy bunny!

Atia of the Julii: [to Cleopatra, whispering] Die screaming, you pig spawned trollop.

Yeah it is a shame. HBO are getting into the habit of creating some fantastic TV series and then cancelling them after a few seasons.

ya amazing show... easily my favourite... but some good alternatives if youre into history and stuff would be 'i claudius' which is an old bbc show from the 70s also set in ancient rome.... and the first season just ended of this great new show called 'the tudors' which is about the early life of henry viii as king.... there will be a second season of the tudors next year[thumbup]

The first season alone cost 100 million dollars, 85 of it from HBO. That's massive for a "TV show".

I would have loved to see more myself, but kind of liked the fact it began with Caesar's march into Rome and ended on Gaius Octavius ruling the Empire. Fits well.

the bbc miniseries was very good, but Graves's novel is so much better. it should be compulsory reading for anyone remotely interested in roman history.

And it was money well spent! [thumbup]
