In my experience, you have to be different to everyone else out there, be unique, be interesting. Coffee can be interpreted as friends as well, be ballsy and go for the juggular. Make sure no misinterpretation about your intentions can be made.

Ask her to a comedy club or something else thats cool, social, you can talk easily and laugh together. Or take her to different places all on the same night, have fun, laugh and smile, its incredibly powerful.

I've just seen that style of pickup work enough times that I've given up on understanding "proper pickup techniques". Women are just as perverted as men are, they just refuse to admit it because the current way things work gets them more stuff. Everyone loves free stuff.

So I just wanted to update and say that I sort of tricked this temp worker into having coffee with me. She had an errand to run so I told her that I needed her help immediately after the errand. So I went with her to run the errand, and then took her down the street and inside the coffee shop. I told her that we're going for a break and I would buy her coffee. I offered to pay, but she said that she could pay for herself. I told her jokingly that she's a new temp working getting paid peanuts so I would pay for it.

So we had coffee, talked for a good 45-minutes, and then I sent her home because it was the end of the day. She thanked me for the coffee and we both kind of stood around in that awkward fashion of "ummm... what do we do now?" So I just said I'll see her later, thanked her for her time, and we just waived goodbye.

That sounds like ur getting there. You are on the right track...if you guys can hold a conversation that long and just stand around awkwardly when it's time to depart that's a good sign IMO. It's as if both of you are waiting for one another to make a move at that point like making a future date or what not.

Thanks for the encouragement, guys. She is actually gone for a few weeks because she is taking some summer classes and I didn't get a chance to get into the office today because I had to do some web page editing for my work. She returns back to work at the end of July so I won't get to make any advances until then. I'm just taking my time and trying to get a better feel for her. We shall wait and see! I think in a few weeks I'll leave her a silly comment on her Facebook so she won't completey forget me. She loves to play Oregon Trail Deluxe on her laptop
