Default do you always remember your first love?
Firstly, I've been in relationship for 6 years. Love her to bits, cannot get enough of her and wouldn't give her up for the world.

But I sometimes think of the first girl I ever loved 8 years ago. We were never an item, nor did we ever sleep together. Thinking of her gives me still gives me a funny stomach. She played with my heart strings big-time. One day she'd pationately kiss me, one day want to be friends. She'd comment on my how nice my body was and always touch/stroke my stomach, she'd call me and we'd talk all night. Often after a night out, I'd barely be home and in bed before she'd call me. We'd chat until 6am on the phone. I was in deep but when I told her, she laughed it off and said we're friends.

After college we drifted apart and I rarely saw her, moved on somewhat and got a g/f who I'm still with today.

She added me on a social networking site a couple of days ago, hence this thread...

Do people always remember their first love so pungently and does it always still hurt thinking about it regardless of love interest since?

Still remember her, it was almost ten years ago but I still think of her. Mostly because she was a sex addict.

I broke up with my first love only 2 months ago... so yeah pretty fresh in my memory. Certainly won't forget her, she was a very good girl friend in many respects. 4 years together since High School meant we shared a lot together; shared the transition from High School to Uni, she Graduating and then me leaving for Madrid.

But thats what helped to end it.... not sorry it ended as I found I wasn't happy settling for someone who was not quite right for me. So here I am in an amazing city enjoying single life... and its truly amazing here.

So many International friends - American, German, Italian, Dutch and of course Spanish and the girls are great [thumbup]. Might be different went I go home, but hell I only have 3 weeks left now so

yeah i still remember her..

it's about 6 or 7 years since i first met her. and i'm still thinking of her because she thought me a lot. i let down my friends for her and i always hanged around her and i'll never do that again (not her fault, mine) she was a natural beauty, no make-up and still looking fine, long black hair.. after about it year it all started to go downhill though.. she got a haircut and dyed it red, she was a ****ing clown! and it got worse, she started to take piercings.. not that i mind piercings here and there.. but she had about 10 piercings only in her face, counting the rest i think it was about 30/35 or something and after that she started taking tattoo's.. also nothing wrong with that but i didn't like it on her and she got many of them eventually..

so when i think of her, i think of the "old" times and not the failed metal factory

Generally yeah, I mean sure you don't ever forget but you don't really think about them that much. I guess we just imagine what could have been some fairy tale that never exists especially in the terms you speak of relationships that never quite took off.

I do. Been with my current girlfriend for over 3 years now, but sometime find myself thinking of my first love. Things kind of got sour after she ended it and we certainly aren't friends today. Things between us now are better though, but I still wouldn't call us friends. We talk occasionally about school, but we have never talked about us, and I think that is for the best. She seems to have erased that whole part of her life and that is quite upsetting to me, but its ok. My current girlfriend is a much better person and I wouldn't have anyone else.

No. She's married and has two kids now. She married a total ass of a husband who will spend the rest of his life working at a gas station. I thought after 1 kid she would have learned to use birth control but apparently not.

i don't think about her that much now if at all, been just over a year since her and moved on and now i am not bothered about it as she left uni and dropped out at the end of her second year law degree. stupid girl not spoken to her since and not really bothered tbh

current gf is not exactly in my good books atm either as i aint heard from her in a week, but ironically the first one thought the current gf fancied me. oh well
