Is there even anywhere on the Falklands that they could realisictly build a cicuit (assuming there isn't one already). And what about infrastructure for all the fans that you would hope would turn up. You'd have a race watched by thousands of sheep!
Dont know if that was meant seriously but my post wasnt.

F1 hasn't caught on in the USA because to be honest, it can be very boring. I watched the opening laps and then switched the channel because I knew who had won the race already. Most people in the USA who want to watch racing would rather watch a nascar race, while it is only left hand turns, has plenty of passing and close racing, even if it is slowed with a lot of caution flags.

Now THAT is true, I give you that.

I watched the opening laps and then switched the channel because I knew who had won the race already. Most people in the USA who want to watch racing would rather watch a nascar race, while it is only left hand turns, has plenty of passing and close racing, even if it is slowed with a lot of caution flags. I think the "design" of NASCAR fits in with the other US american pro sports pretty well. I sometimes get the impression that yellow flags are shown even when its not necessary (car already on the infield etc), but so they can show commercials and the spectators can get some more hotdogs and nachos. There's quite a difference between the movie Days of Thunder and the real NASCAR races lol, sometimes it seems like they're racing one lap and then follow the pace car for another 3. What I like best about NASCAR racing is the sound. [thumbup]

note: homeboy here doesnt speak for all of america. F1 is way better than crappy redneck nascar.
