This thread makes no sense, because you obviously already want to "switch."

i want a macbook pro with the 2.33 cor 2 duo 2 gb ram and 120 or 160 gig hd and the 256 mb video card 15" So, what's the point?

Why switch? Why not have both?

I play on a Windows system at home, work on a MacBook in class, love my iPod, and make calls on a Windows Mobile.

Never been more satisfied with my gadgets. My MacBook works seemlessly with my Windows servers at home anyway.

lol this is hilarious, dude I want a mac bad + I'm a multimedia designer, but trust me just save up and get one. I don't think anyone will switch all that stuff for your pc, 'cause most mac people love their macs.

my plan as of now is to finish paying off the 37" 1080p TV I got ($200 more left on it). then save up about $1500 to go towards a new mac pro then put the rest on credit. no need to get rid of all your stuff is there?

edit: oh yeah or just try selling your PC + 360 on craigslist or ebay...?

I'm confused. You want someone to buy you the mac, then you give them all your pc stuff? Or they buy you a mac, and instructions on what to do to the pc stuff, and you take pictures? Or you buy yourself the mac, and destroy the PC stuff as per the most creative posters instructions?

i would do whatever they wanted me to with the pc and xbox, mail it to them, destroy it and take a video and post on youtube, give it to charity it doesnt matter

Ah. If given the choice myself, I'd probably dump Windows too. I don't get much work done at home because I'm always playing games...

Hmm... To my knowledge you will be the first onion to get a sex change operation because you'll either need that or sprout a vagina.

Well if you are going to get one, wait until WWDC in June, when Apple should be releasing the following:

MBP
2.4Ghz
Santa Rosa with Flash Cache
LED based display
Radeon HD2600 (or at least Radeon X1700)
160GB HD
2GB RAM

But as others have said, good luck finding someone that will give them their MacBook Pros for your PC.

Yeah I'm just going to wait till June as well. Does anyone know if they'll be putting the new ATI/AMD cards in the Mac Pros as well?

Well even if they don't, I am pretty sure I saw one website that said the new ATI cards work with Macs out of the box (they properly support EFI, unlike Nvidia's cards). So you should just be able to pick up a PC version.

I will have a dig around to see if I can find it.
