Any opinions on places to get online storage at a decent price? I was thinking about using Amazon's S3 at $0.15 per gig, figure i got about 25 gigs i'd like to keep backed up online somewhere.

With the prices of hard drives and external enclosures so low, I would find it better to buy a drive + enclosure. And besides, think of how long it would take to upload/download 25GB of information.

Otherwise if you just need it for archival purposes, just get 6 or 7 DVD disks.

And if my house burned down? lol

I'm just thinking i'd like to have an offsite storage for files that would be devastating to lose. Family photo's for the last 10 years, personal files etc.

I dunno maybe i'm just too anal about it. I already got tons of storage in a RAID5 array which is safer than any external drive.
