My mother and sister are trying to create a photobook. They try to select the right photos, but for some strange reason the thumbnails are different than the image. It's like it's linked to the wrong image. What can we do about this problem? This happens in the standard windows thumbnail viewer.

jpeg files sometimes contain their own thumbnails build in, embedded. and XP loads the embedded thumbnails if they exsist (to save time). so you might need to remove those from the jpg files if the thumbnails are wrong.
try this jpeg thumbnail remover, simply extract the files to where the pics are and run the batch file. just back up your original in case anything goes wrong. edit: teh default command will strip the thumbnail but retail all other exif data such as date, camera model and camera settings. |
