Sure sure, your dollar doubles our dollar, but have fun paying your inflated prices on EVERYTHING.

You have twice the money, but twice the prices compared to us, so everything balances out.
Though you would become rich if you moved to the US. Twice the money, with half the expenses as you currently do.
We don't need to pay inflated prices because we just have to buy from the US. That's kind of the point.

we dont have twice the money though. if you earn £20k here, you'd earn $40k in the US

Its cheaper, but shipping and then the import tax jacks the price back up. Not twice the cost, but still can be quiet a bit depending on what is shipped.
Still cheaper if you just move here so there is no import tax or shipping costs!

It doesn't work quite like that, but without even going into that, I don't see what that has to do with what I said?

I'm saying that at the moment it doesn't matter that we're paying inflated prices at home because we can just buy items from the US for half of what they cost here in some cases.

Thats a different subject.

This is £1 = $2

Yours was £1 = nearly $2.

I vote this one stays.

But you're just a salesman, so how does the current RPI rate affect you? An economically sound argument will suffice.
