Thought user feedback was a good thing. Appearently not at FutureMark.

Do you want me to redesign the site myself or something? I said its a bunch of bullshit and that I still find the whole idea pointless. You'd think someone who is trying to get a site going would want to hear feedback from all its users...

And the reasons for why its pointless has been said by many of users in other threads.

Although I had nothing to do with closing the thread, I can see that your so called "feedback" was likely the cause. If you were genuinly concerned about giving feedback you would have posted your comments in a more mature way.

It reminds me of the posting cycle at the Bioware boards. The poster makes a thread along the lines of "OMG NWN is so Gay and only HOMOS play it!!!!!11!!". The thread then get locked. The poster then makes a new thread claming Bioware/Obsidian don't like constructive cristisim of their games, and of course include several Nazi references etc.

I don't think it was ever a thread with a glowing future ahead of it. It started off well enough, but descended into a fairly crass experience fairly quickly. Nice to see there can be some dialogue/response from folks asking why it got deleted, though. I don't mind threads getting yoinked, but I never like to see threads asking (politely) why getting brushed under the carpet as well.
