Default Hockey Fans Unite!
So, I was just reminiscing about my 95-96 Colorado Avalanche first Stanley Cup win. I'v lived in CO a majority of my life, and I remember watching that series in complete awe at how awesome hockey was. Unfortunatly, my Avs have currently had a run of bad luck since the 01 season, and we're not doing so hot (mainly horrbile goal tending), and it just really makes you appreciate the great dynasties of the past, and the great players in them. With the season nearing it's end, who are you predicitons for this years Cup race?

I'm having a hard time deciding who it might be. Something tells me Buffalo might make everyone suprised

Avalanche not doing so hot??? Try being a Kings fan, buddy! LOL

We're dead last in the Western Conference. Granted, the Kings have a new coach (your old coach LOL) & have traded tons of players this year, but they are 5-2-3 in their last 10 & beat Anaheim last night (without Kopitar even!) and really look like they are starting to look great, even if it's too late for them to make the playoffs.

I've been going to NHL games for quite some time. I've seen the 'Lanche play 3 times (back when they had Roy, Forsberg, etc). They're a fun team to watch. I've taken pics at some of the Avalanche games I went to & have a pre-game pic of Roy stretching on the ice next to Kelly Hrudey (Sharks). Good times...

Last game I went to was in February, the Kings game that they retired Luc Robitaille's jersey in...

I heard about that trade! i even heard someone mention that he should of gone to the Avs, can you imagine?! he'd probably get snipered from the crowd.

yea, the kings i'm sorry :P but you did beat us a few nights ago.

I don't understand how someone could not like hockey?! If you're not a fan of hockey, i question your sexual orientation, and possibly your gentalia and if it in fact, does exist.

Ottawa Senators fan here. I'm hoping this year they can finally play well in the playoffs. As for my Cup prediction, I couldn't hazard a guess. I would love to see two Canadian teams in the Cup final. But i really can't see that happening.

I like the Red Wings as a 3rd or 4th favorite team, and have seen them play 4 times in person (all against the Sharks [who I loathe] in San Jose, and unfortunately the Red Wings lost all 4 games I went to [cursing]). That was before they picked up Hasek though (Mike Vernon & Osgood years).

Was glad that the Red Wings picked up Luc Robitaille for a season or two so he could get his cup before he retired (big Luc fan here)...

Osgood makes me want to cry... he's so bad for my team. Lucky Luc was a good addition for a couple years though; it was nice to have him on the squad along with Hull and Hatcher and Hasek and Schnieder, et al.

Do you ever get over to see Anaheim, foggy?

Stars fan here. Totally average season from the Stars this year, I predict they wont get further than the second round in the playoffs. But if they keep playing like this they'll clinch the division title at least.

GO STARS!
