You can see the shadow now, far enough in to watch it without anything. Is anyone going to attempt taking any close up pictures or anything?

I was on the underground when it happened. [thumbdown]

Although I did manage to see a solar eclipse a few years ago in France which was pretty cool. Itt was a bit wierd because everything went silient for a few mins (even the animals).

You haven't missed it quite yet. It lasts until 23:58.

After that you'll see the moon look like it has a bite out of it as it emerges from the Earth's shadow.
