Going to drive up to the Brecon Becaons to avoid all the street lights, should be good

You can see the shadow now, far enough in to watch it without anything. Is anyone going to attempt taking any close up pictures or anything?

Thats really cool! Ive just spent 20mins sitting outside looking at the moon.

Shame I dont have anything that can take close pics!

I was on the underground when it happened. [thumbdown]

Although I did manage to see a solar eclipse a few years ago in France which was pretty cool. Itt was a bit wierd because everything went silient for a few mins (even the animals).

You haven't missed it quite yet. It lasts until 23:58.

After that you'll see the moon look like it has a bite out of it as it emerges from the Earth's shadow.
