Because you can't shoot a twist off around the room when you open it. I can open a beer with pretty much anything, I mostly open it with a lighter. Cigarette boxes, cell phones, remotes, various kitchen utensils, empty paper rolls, anything goes.

An ordinary opener work too. :P

Drinking beer that needs to be opened from a can or a twist-off cap is, simply put, not beer at all. It's more like like bussy.

In Lousiana, they have drive-through daiquiri stands.
Alabama didn't have an open container law until 2000. Most people (myself included) didn't know that however.
