Default Sam Adams Longshot Old Ale. WOW WE WOW!
OMG! Has anybody tried this? Its very sweet, theres a lot of malt in it and I seem to detect some raisins in the taste and maybe some caramel. Its ABV is 10.6%. Its very good, though its so sweet its defiantly not something you can drink fast. Its more of a sit by the fire type beer. I highly recommend it.[thumbup]

There are two other beers that come in the Longshot package although I havnt tried them yet. There is a Dortmunder Style Export and a Boysenberry Wheat. Looking forward to trying them.

Hmm, that sounds interesting....but I generally don't like really malty/sweet beers. I need a decent amount of hops.

Thank God for the german "Reinheitsgebot",..
Wiki link

Although not law anymore, most brewery´s still "brew?" their beer by it,..
meaning => the only ingredients that are used in the production of beer are water, barley and hops.

I love Sam Adams, I'll have to pick up some of these next time I'm out.

If you can get your hands on the winter pack that's out, give the Cranberry Lambic a try. It's like wine. I loved it.

Of course not, they don't like their beer to have an actual alcohol content.

That boysenberry wheat sounds delicious! I'm making a run to the liquor store after work. Hopefully they'll have this long shot stuff.
