Default Hereos showing in the UK, next Monday
Just a heads up for those that haven't see it yet and are interested in seeing what the fuss is all about. It's at 10pm, on Sci-Fi.

Is it good?

I don't know if I could handle watching yet another TV series, what with Prison Break, SG-1, Atlantis, BSG, Lost and 24 to watch every week!

Its television at its finest, it utterly rocks balls.

So I've been told at least...by some American people.

I don't undestand how people can be so involved with TV shows.

Gee, that answers my question completely. Why people watch shows? Oh, because they are told to do so because money is being invested in these shitty monkey shows. You're a ****ing monkey.

It is ok, but I feel that the first chapter is sooooo much better than what they have started with the second chapter. It seems like the show is already full of itself and going nowhere fast(it too lost almost a season and a half to get there).

What the hell are you talking about, its people's involvement in the shows that make them so successfull. warranting the investment.
Good entertainment, plotlines, irony, characters, etc are what gets people so involved in them. Its pretty obvious why people get involved in tv shows and why so many people have their favorites. shitty shows dont stay on the air long enough because they're not worth the investment and the major broadcasting companies stop funding them.

You are not getting my point at all. What more could I expect from a person who takes Newscientist seriously and then posts 20 ****ing threads on made-up science news.

Oh i got your point. you dont understand why people can get so involved in tv shows.
The original poster intended to make the airing of a show he is involved in for whatever reason a little more public, and you post something that can be considered insulting to the vast majority who do actually like getting really involved in shows they like.

You're obviously not getting my point. your contribution to a thread about making a show that clearly a large amount of people like was "I don't undestand how people can be so involved with TV shows." I see very little reason to blatently belittle a lot of people interests. It seems to happen here all too regularly. Would it be that hard to understand that yes maybe some people do actually like the shows they follow and maybe do get very involved in them, they enjoy them. to be quite honest i think i have gotten quite involved in a show called smallville. there is no shame in doing so.

I wasnt going to make a contribution to the thread at all though, i have watched the show and took an interest in it, but with the way the show is progressing there is very little actually happening in any one episode. It is a good show though and its executed in such a way to keep people wanting, i'll admit i'm one of those, allthough im not completely sold on the show yet it does have great entertainment potential. The show is rich in irony though, and as its intended to be portrayed just like a comic book.

As for taking newscientist seriously, made-up science news, exactly whats so made up about general reporting on the general subject material, yes some of their journalists insite some satire in their delivery, especially in the not so informative and controversial topics. some of the interesting topics reported are by no means made up. I pay attention to actual reports in their astronomy section. when did i ever say that i took newscientist as a source on all science related topics seriously?

You are very easily provoked apparently, and very quick to throw profanites around for no real reason. relax its just a public forum with an extremely broad audience.

I like how you handled this situation. I start arguments with people on the forum because it's soo boring otherwise. I don't regret anything I said, and I meant what I said, but I don't mean to get into arguments for real -- that's just stupid. Messing with people just ... I guess gives me a boner (j/k).
