Default What’s the most cost effective car to drive? (UK) (Including alterative fuel cars)
I need to look into getting a new car as my 4x4 is getting way to costly to run. I don’t really know anything about cars and don’t have a large budget (not really sure what my budget it need to work that out). Any recommendations?

Not to worryed about speed as I stick to the speed limit, all I need are air con, good mileage, low running costs. Power steering and I prefer large high off the ground cars but guess I might have to give that a miss.

Most of my driving is at a constant speed between 40 to 60mph with few stops. 20miles average per trip 40 miles per day and I tend to keep cars for along time so its ok if its costs more to buy but works out cheaper in the long run.

So what should I look for or any good sites to read up on cars?
