Default What´s the best Ebay bargain you ever made ?
I´m just wondering,...
What´s the one thing that you scored off ebay (for super cheap, or maybe even something very rare) that made you happy/proud/whatever.

?

For me it´s gotta be my Phillips Stereo system.

Got it last week and i pay´d 50 €´s (~ 64$) for all of it !! [thumbup]
Alone the Amplifiers is worth 3x as much on ebay

Still gotta think about how to hide the cables though.

So what about you guys ?

A couple of years back i saw someone selling a Dell P1110 monitor on eBay - managed to get him to end the bidding early after he said he only wanted £50 for the thing. Best part was, apart from him being local, the think was in pristine condition!

This is the one, 2nd one down - though mine is in white. Great monitor!

Never, I always think I am gonna get a good deal until all the muppets show up last minute and bid upto or over the new or retail price on a second hand item. I mean WTF, some people are so dumb. [cursing]

The thing is, when I miss the end of bidding on my watched items that I was meant to snipe on at the end, they always go for a steal.

I am just unlucky when it comes to thing like this.

Theres always a better deal to be had - i was happy at the time, though, as all the others on eBay had casing marks or screen-burn and were at least £25 - £30 more... Mine just needed a few smudges wiped off the glass!

So what about you guys ?
I got a used Mission Volare V6C center speaker once for £10 and the guy under charged for postage so that was out and out the best bargain I ever had on eBay, esp. since they were still selling for about £200 new at the time.

But my personal favourite not such a saving but being a synth freak the one that made me the happiest was a Roland MKS-30. It says there the average price is $339 it got mine for about £35 from a guy who listed the thing incorrectly he clearly knew nothing about audio equipment and thought he had some sort of mixer.

I sold an old Apple PDA/lappy thing (given to me for nothing) It was in mint condition for £90, also a pair or Levi's jeans that hadn't been worn (too short in leg) - hadn't realised they had long been discontinued and become rare/collectable, that was another £90/100 or so.

As for buying. Vintage leather jackets are great. I pay £35-£40 for stuff that I'd have been willing to pay a couple of hundred for, pre-ebay.

wooow i totaly forgot the real best bargain i ever made on ebay.
A brand new Acer 19´ Tft monitor for absolutly nothing !!! [thumbup]

The guy didn´t send the damn monitor after a damn month (cash on delivery) and the damn Monitor still wasn´t here after various emails. The guy after not reacting and me giving him a bad Ebay thingy wrote back saying that he shipped the monitor but i didn´t accept it and he then also gave me a bad ebay assasment.
I then emailed ebay telling them what happend and they responded with "The member has been banned due to a few other infrindgments) sooo I then get a email stating i sent the monitor to you again, so if your still interested.
I replyed with "screw you i´m not interested in doing buisness with you, ever again)
And 3 days later i get the monitor, but not via cash on delivery but where you normaly pay for the item first and then they ship.
lol this is like 7 months ago now and i haven´t heard anything from the stupid ****. [cursing]
but good for me, eh ? Kinda scamming the scammer

This guy was selling these honda jazz alloys I've wanted for a while. He had one set and I asked him how much he wanted them for, he said about £60. But someone had already bidded on the item so I asked him to keep me posted if they don't sell.

He contacted me a few days later telling me he had another set for sale and I got them for £75 for 4! [thumbup]

If I bought these from Honda it'd would've set me back about £640, being roughly about £160 each. [shocked]

Erm, well £75 for 4 is not a bad markup when he obviously nicked them in the first place!

If you had nicked your own it would have cost you £0

You are joking right? These alloys were second hand. They used to come with the old Honda Jazz sports but they changed the style of them on the newer ones.

When I had my Mrk3 Golf CL I looked into getting some classic GTI BBS alloys, great deals for lovely alloys with almost new rubber on them for 100-150. Best deal I think I had was an X1800XL for 150 when they were still selling for around 250.

I don't tend to have much luck on Ebay these days, selling in particular!

Either the mint condition Jackson Dinky Reverse Professional (USA made) I picked up for $200 or the excellent condition 1885 copy of Goethe's "Faust" that I picked up for a mere $12...

My best eBay bargain was my road bike.

Got it September 2005 for £100. It was about 10 years old but like new. The brakes hadn't even worn the black paint off the rims! Would have cost about £500 or more to buy new.

Scored an 1/8th scale buggy chassis $700 retail at the time) for $177 on ebay. Only problem? It was assembled, it had a surface scratch on the chassis, and the front shock tower was very, very, slightly bent.

Best thing I got was a cell phone charger + case + travel charger for $6. Won the auction for $.01 and $5.99 to ship.

What chassis was it? I used to race 1/8 buggies and 1/10 touring cars.

Havn't had many amazing buys on ebay...just bought some jvc marshmallow headphones for $5

Got my Logitech Z-560's for $40 on overstock.com 2 years ago...that was easily the best deal I've gotten online.
