I would absolutely.

There are so many more interesting things to do in life, millions of places to go, thousands of movies, books and hours of music.

I wish I had enough money so that I don't do anything besides listen to music and write.

and had just enough money to survive on each month for the rest of your life would you just drop out of life and just loaf around ?
We have that "chance" in Finland, though it not popular and is generally frowned upon. You can simply leave work and start drawing unemployment pay from the government. If you have worked for 10 months during any 2-year period in your life, you are entitled to it. It's just enough to get you by, but you'll only get the really bare necessities - nothing fancy ever, unless you have a side-business like selling paintings or whatever. It's about 500 euros (650 $USD) per month. If you are lucky, you can get an unemployment salary based on your previous wage, and is a little higher. For regular average pay (~2200 euros a month), you'll get about 930 euros (1200 $USD).

However, either is only paid for 500 work days, after which you must either find a job for another 10 months/2-year session entitling you for another 500 work day unemployment salary (if needed), or you'll start to receive employment support, which is about 500 euros a month.

But as you can see, it does not pay to be unemployed
