I know music appreciation is purely subjective, and I'm not knocking your opinion, but personally I thought it was dire. 7 minutes and it didn't seem to go anywhere or do anything at all...

Thanks for posting though, always good to broaden your horizons.

Don't take this as a knock either, but really I think for music like this it actually does take a while and a certain amount of relaxation at first to actually catch the full effect of what's going on,tbh it took me a while to get in to music like this. But it does go somewhere,a few somewheres, several somewheres I think.

I hate it when music has a lot of potential but doesn't exactly exploit it. I liked that and it's interesting but it could have been a lot more.

Music to commit suicide to!

It sounded like the clangers played backwards!

No wonder you look so depressed in your avatar if thats what you listen to.

I managed 2 minutes then my train of thought was interrupted by the need to find a long length of rope and a tall tree.

Thx! but no thx!

I guess the music made him happy as opposed to depressed or he wouldn't have used the word 'beautiful'. I am similar to Aramchek in that I don't like alot of 'obvious' music. Just because it doesn't have a melody and traditional structure doesn't mean it's any less enjoyable.

Horrorwood, what exactly do you listen to? So far I've never seen you remotely interested in anything, in fact, I've never seen you enthusiastic about anything at all apart from Steps, and in particular your favourite - 'H'.

Actually you could more accurately say it's music to ward off evil spirits,in my understanding.

Anyway, some will like it,some won't really "get it" and some just plain won't like it,still others will just chime in to prove how "special" they are....it's still beautifull and nothing really changes that.

The song "Mahil Athal Nadrach",is a bit closer to traditional structures and I think some of you who would have liked this but thought it didn't "go anywhere" would probably like that better...but I have no idea how you could get to listen to it through legitimate means at this point,it's my understanding that you got what it was on when it came out or you just missed out for the time being.

To be honest...It did sound a little bit like some Japanese music I've listened to in the past.

I guess you have to be in the "right frame of mind" to be able to listen to it.

These days my music tastes are limited to Trance and not much else, the sort of Trance I'm into is the stuff you'd find on the Clubland CD's.

I actually find that stuff very relaxing, whereas most people would probably be dancing to it and going a bit hyper on drugs, I just find it relaxing.

I wouldn't even call this music. Rather irritant noise.

Yes i agree.

I listened to about 2 and a half minutes before i had to close it through fear my ears may start bleeding.
