Tea Tree Oil. It's a miracle worker. [yes] I will usually add a small amount of oil to my lip balm, usually the stuff that comes in a tin, and then mix it all together. I also like the smell of tea tree oil, too.

You can thank me later.

You don't have to use anything. Same thing with hands. If they are getting dry, let them. The body will sort itself out...[yes]

It does work. I've always hated the feeling of chapstick, so I never used it. Now my lips never get chapped whatsoever, and I live in the cold mountains.

There are a lot of chapsticks out there that are just wax and won't really heal broken or chapped lips. I use blistex, it's medicated to heal or so they say and it works for me.

also drinking more water never hurts.

Drink more water, one of the first signs of dehydration is chapped and broken lips. (and dry mouth...) Start each day with a pint of water, and by the end of each day you should have drunk at least 3 pints of the stuff.

NOTE: Beer is not an acceptable substitute.
