Default A new scam this Christmas
Just a heads up in case anyone gets one of these. There is a new scam going around (mainly in the UK, but it could also be in other countries) where you get a card through your door saying a delivery company tried to deliver a package but you were out. The card then tells you to phone up a number to arrange another time for delivery, but that number is premium rate and will cost you £18/min (IIRC).

Kind of true, but the part about the extortionate phone calls are part of an urban myth that started from bogus email chains a while back. I've received a few of these 'warnings' over the past few years

Maximum call rate in the UK is £1.50/min but other than that the "warning" is sound.
Just that you'll probably only get stung for £1.50 as you realise you're getting nowhere rather than £18.
