Default Wife traded in her car
Got a '06 Mazdaspeed6

2.3ltr turbo AWD 6 speed. 276hp 280tq.

Here is her old red Mazda3, and the new car.

Can't wait to put it to shame [thumbup]

Seriously though, it is very nice compared to the STi, not as fast but very upscale feeling compared to it.

She got a ticket driving a Honda Insight so I'm a bit concerned. [surrender]

Did she pick it on her own or did you sorta point her out to a car that you too liked not just for comfort.

I know that I am trying to get my girl friend to get a sporty little car for her price range. Last hope that I have is a supercharged Pontiac Grand Prix.

Nice car! [thumbup]

Woah, they fixed up the gaudy bumper that used to be on the speed6.

That is very nice although I dislike the seats and the non-sporty sound from the engine and exhaust. Good car, though![thumbup]

Read good things about it, it was also on Top Gear tonight - we're a little behind the UK, down here.

Thanks guys! We drove it around all day today and it is very fun. Very big compared to the STi but the little 2.3 can still put you back in your seat pretty good. She was looking at a Legacy GT but they are much more expensive. The MS6's are very inexpensive for what you get.

edit... I'm 28 FoodStampz Wish I was 17 though.

Amazing how cheap you can get things when nobody buys them

Does work out very well for the people that want it though [yes]

I like those cars but I cant help think they'd look so much better as a 2dr coupe.

The mazdaspeed? Naaaa that thing is a big sedan. A cruiser. The STi would be cool as a 2 door like in the good ol'days.

I have found myself driving the MS6 more then the sti in the last few days. Maybe when the *newness* wears off I can judge it more accordingly.

Your wife decided on that car herself ?
You have a pretty cool wife, ive dont know any girls who like performance cars.

Anyway that 2.3L DiSi Turbo engine in that Mazda is a beast.

Well she originaly wanted a Speed3, but it felt like too little of a jump from her 3-S (red car in the first picture) besides power of course.

She wanted something bigger and more powerful. The car doesn't really feel like a performance car. Feels like a Acura TL with a little more umph.
