About a year ago my father was offered a swap for a Ford GT replica built by Lotus.
Car was probably worth about £50K, but he decided against it, since at 61 yrs old, he did'nt fancy bending down to get into a 40 inch car when ever he fancied going for a spin.

The car the guy wanted to do a straight swap for was this..

Well which would you rather have?

Incidentally he bought the Porsche, over 9 years ago, when he retired, paid £15k for it and in 9yrs it only depreciated (went down in value) £500, can't say that about a new car, let alone something like a Ford GT replica that Looks a bit like this real one.

There's two Ford GT's on the Isle of Man, I see them sometimes burning over the mountain road, devouring the tarmac and any cars that get in their way! I'm so jealous [no]

One of them wouldn't happen to be Jeremy Clarkson now would they?

In my book, its only a repost if the content remains the same, (mods might think otherwise though) as it is I did'nt see the other thread, I was probably working.

I've driven my dads Porsche too, awesome car, except the gearbox is pretty horrible, it was unfortunate cos the year later Porsche fitted the "G40" gearbox to the same model, which was much, much better, Having to "double declutch" from 3rd to 2nd was a pain in the ass.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Double_declutch

Takes a lot to get used too.

The Porsche holds the road like it was on rail tracks though, except in the wet when gentle cornering is a must otherwise apply the power on a corner and the rear end tends to slide, makes for some interesting drifting though, (if you can control it), just wish it was as easy as Grand Turismo.

The Porsche is definately the only car I've seen that has oodles of pussy pulling power, its a complete babe magnet.

Park it anywhere in the summer and dozens of woman, mostly the beautiful ones are itching to get a ride in it.

It works so well, my mum is trying to convince my dad to sell it, cos the jealousy is killing her, I think my dad is failing under the tide of pressure from her, so the Porsche may be someone elses new "plaything" soon.

It would be better if the Reg plate was an "F" reg, then it would read F--- FOF, although Beef Off used to be an old english way of politely telling someone where to go. [rofl]
