Well-made, but forgettable. The documentary style was convincing, and it was easy to connect with the people as though they were actually being interviewed. The events were fairly realistic imo, it was probably what woud happen. Dick Cheney coming to presidency and trying to pin the attack on Syria (his personal nemesis), conveniantly a Syrian citizen had some evidence against him. However (spoiler) It turned out to be a ex army officer, whos son was killed in Iraq. A third Patriot Act is introduced, giving even more power to the executives. And all in all, the so-called 'war on terror' continued all the stronger. What was dissapointing was the limited scope of the film- it failed to demonstrate the effects of the assassination beyond the US borders.
I guess some people seem to think that without Bush, or even Republicans, the majority of US corruption and problems would go away. But as this demonstrates that would by no means be the case. |

Saw that the movie was mentioned on the local news a week or so ago, as it seems a lot of US folks are upset about it, and lots of theaters have already decided to ban it. I think people feeling that way is silly, and really hope I get to see the movie. Thanks for the review! |
