Well, have to say this new one is VERRYYYYY GOOODDD and raises the goosebumps when I listen to it, and it's been a while since that's happened with a Bond Song... however my top three Bond themes... and it's a tough one, have to admit...

1. Diamonds Are Forever
   
2. Casino Royale (and I hated this when I first heard it!)
3. GoldFinger

The weird thing is, I keep looking at the remaining ones and I feel they should be in the top 3... man, too much quality... I've changed this 3 times while typing . Live & Let Die is a fave and the film is right up there... but be interesting to see what others think... Also, what makes a great Bond theme? For me... it needs:

1. Someone who can sing with a decently powerful voice
   
2. The Bond theme shouldn't be wishy washy like For Your Eyes Only... which was a bit wet IMHO... needs to be powerful... The World Is Not Enough was poor as well... could be a soundtrack to any film...
   
3. It HAS TO HAVE an underlying Bond sound to the orchestra (i.e. like the new Skyfall in the 2nd verse) where you hear the James Bond theme in the background... this really works nicely in Skyfall
   
4. It HAS TO be able to get the goosebumps on listening...

I had reservations about Adele doing it, but she kept it more reserved and nailed it.

The only other Bond song to hold a candle to Shirley Bassey was Live and Let Die. Most of the rest are forgettable.
