Default 2 good books
Just figured I'd let people know, as I just finished reading two very good books:

1) "The Shadow Of The Wind" by Carlos Ruiz Zafon (read it in French, very good translation from Spanish. From comments I've browsed through the English translation should also be very good)

2) "The Road" by Cormac McCarthy (I believe most know it by now. Very beautifully written indeed.)

Anyone care to share some good reading experiences?

I don't tend to read fiction, but The Road sounds like something i'd enjoy. To be honest I don't read much at all, not as much as I'd like to. My favorite books are by Bill Bryson, particularly 'Notes from a Big Country', the one about his time in the States. Very easy to read and entertaining to me at least.

The Road is excellent. I also just finished Bad Land by Jonathan Raban, which is about the homesteaders sent to populate Montana, Dakota and other states at the start of the 20th Century - interesting take on social engineering and gives a perspective as to why the government is so mistrusted in those states even now.

If you've got the time the Game of Thrones books are worth a read, regardless if you're up to date with the series or not.

I got the 4 books on iBooks for $14.99 or something a few months back. I need to make some time to get into it fully.

It's a serious plus having them in a ebook format as they're quite weighty books!

Just so everyone realizes, he's not joking.

Does it imply he is effectively a frustrated woman?

Sparafucil is just frustrated that she did not get to say it first.

I thought he was just frustrated about having to stand on his tip-toes when he picks up his Chai Latte at Starbucks (those counters are a bit high for him).

I thought EaG was the short one? Sparafucil has the physique that makes Zed look like a 250lb bodybuilder (if my FM memory bank serves me correctly).

Doesn't Zed weigh 140lbs or something and is 6ft?

Just had my physical today. You'll be happy to learn my BMI, blood pressure, and cholesterol are completely normal.

I imagine Will's drinking, lack of exercise, and marathon-gaming sessions have done wonders for his health. He's also uninsured, so our tax dollars will have to pay for his Obamacare.

I love reality, too. That's why I don't read escapist fantasy books written for pubescent teenage girls and sexually frustrated moms.

I did not know that either of those books were fantasy, but then again I also did not know about my insurance and fitness problems.
