Black Album isn't all that bad. People were expecting another ...And Justice for All but faster and heavier and even more complex, but Metallica did the exact opposite. The Black Album is slower, more melodic, the riffs are pretty simple and the songs are a lot shorter...
While it could be considered a let down for old school fans, the Black Album is actually pretty decent. AJFA is still the best though. |

If we are going doing this, I'd say this about sums it up...
Don't be an *******, go 720p. Wash it down the drain Down the drain. Wash your smile, down Wash it down the drain, please! Like animals destined for fuel or observance Our role is clear, never stray far from the path Everything has an end Everything has an end Everything must have an end But what am I supposed to say? (What am I supposed to say?) Oh sorry I guess I forgot You think you could tell me again? Please? I don't remember. What am I supposed to think? (What am I supposed to think?) What am I supposed to feel? (What am I supposed to feel?) There's no feeling in this place The echoes of the past speak louder Than any voice I hear right now Don't you ever try to be More than you were destined for Or anything worth fighting for Don't you ever try to be More than you were destined for Or anything worth fighting for There's no feeling in this place There's no feeling in this place Feeling in this place What did you expect? That we would never leave home? That we would never leave? What did you expect? That we would never leave home? That we would never leave? That we would never leave? That we would never leave? That we would never leave? What did you expect from us? We're murderers! Murderers and liars and rapists and thieves! You should never put your trust in any of us There is nothing to gain from this interference Don't you ever try to be More than you were destined for Or anything worth fighting for There's no feeling in this place The past speaks louder than anything I hear right now (The past speaks louder than anything I hear right now) |

Agreed. The black album was actually quite good. It may have strayed from the bands original path but it was a great album never-the-less. I disagree that "...And Justice For All" was the best though because everyone knows "Master of Puppets" was the best! (With "Ride the Lightning" nipping right at it's heels.) Here, especially for you. |

The Black Album is slower, more melodic, the riffs are pretty simple and the songs are a lot shorter... I can understand that. MoF could be considered a better album for a number of reasons. Last album with Cliff, Orion, good production/mastering etc. AJFA is better when it comes to material quality but yeah, inaudible bass, double kick drums too clicky and the overall sound could be better. So yeah, if you look at it that way, all things considered, MoF is a better album overall, IMHO of course. I myself think that the technical side is just a neccessity and has no weight on how good the album is or not, that also means that there is no way we can agree. --- Post Update --- I see we got nowhere on this one. It feels like you want to agree with someone but trying to keep up appearances at the same time. As if you're trying to make it clear that you don't want to associate yourself with the person you're actually agreeing with. |

Sweet baby Jesus do you actually consider that music? 13 year olds who feel oppressed by their parents listen to that. |

I want to derail too!
I see them all lined up Like broken children at the wall Their skin is hanging off in sheets Each face is painted like a clown Their blood is shining in the sun Their wounds are powdered with white salt Their lips are making silent words I see my name as it spills out I see them walking on their knees Lead in a chain by laughing girls I see them sucking on the dirt As if inhaling the whole world And one by one their throats are cut And each one sings his choking song And each one sings his lullaby And each one falls and then he's gone And I feel good Yeah I feel fine Yeah I feel good And I've been waiting far too long I see their bodies in the pyre Leaking black smoke into the flames And all the people stand around Shaping lips into my name And soon the sun begins to sink Behind the wall of dirty air I see their bones there in the pile And taste the smell of burning hair And all the children howl for milk The rain spits down a million knives I see you running naked through the field I see you running for your useless life I feel you choking on your tongue I feel your breath attack your chest The dogs are ripping at your feet I see you bleeding out your happiness And I feel good Yeah I feel fine Yeah I feel good I finally got back what was always, rightfully, mine. |
