A WA Liberal MP has stated Australians are unconsciously being transformed into Islam by eating Halal beef. In a speech to Parliament recently, backbencher Luke Simpkins said most Australians didn't realize that most of the meat they ate originated from animals killed prior to Muslim law. “By having Australians unknowingly eating Halal food we're all one step down the road towards the transformation, and that's a step we should just make with full information and one that shouldn't be imposed upon us without us knowing,” Mr Simpkins told Parliament. “What is happening is wrong. Too the minorities in this state are cared for without regard for the majority.” Mr Simpkins said he'd completed an unofficial study in his northern-suburbs electorate of Cowan and had unearthed that many meat at main stores such as Coles or Woolworths had been killed under Halal problems, but hadn't been branded as such. He tabled a petition demanding that Halal meat be clearly recognized, worrying people couldn't obtain meat due to their “Aussie barbecue” without the effect of the “minority religion”. Mr Simpkins stated that Mohammed the prophet of Islam had spoken of the way the faith might be expanded all over the world by getting individuals to eat Halal meat. When, amongst other activities, they eat the meat that people have slaughtered’ “he apparently said, ‘The non-believers will end up Muslims. This really is among the crucial elements to transforming non-believers to Islam,” Mr Simpkins said. The request tabled by Mr Simpkins have been organized by the Barnabas Fund, a company that helps Christians residing in Muslim countries. Immigration Reverend Bob Bowen said Resistance Chief Tony Abbott must draw Mr Simpkins in to line. “All members of Parliament ought to be seeking to increase harmony and understanding between religions. Mr Simpkins has been doing the entire opposite,” he explained. Link @ the Age
