Default Installing the Mazda Toolbox app in Windows 11
Hi,
I was having trouble using the Toolbox app/program on my PC and found a workaround. I thought I'd post it here, just in case it could help someone else.
If the Toolbox window looks strange, or you can't use it for whatever reason, try running it in Compatibility Mode. Remember that one? lol If you already know how to do that, you can skip the rest of this...
1. Un-install, then re-install Toolbox
2. Immediately after the installation completes, DO NOT start the Toolbox.
3. Close the installer.
4. Find the actual program icon (it should be with the rest of the apps) and right click on it, then choose Properties from the list.
5. In Properties, look for the Compatibility tab.
6. Inside the Compatibility section, choose the boxes for making the program run in Compatibility Mode. I chose Windows 8 and it ran perfectly.
Also choosing "Run as an Administrator" seems to always be a good thing in Windows.

That's it! I was able to update my navigation SD card after that and was very happy!
I hope this helps anyone who may have been having the same trouble I was having!
Cheers!
Shawna

Compatibility issues can be frustrating, and your solution using Compatibility Mode is a helpful tip.

Since it's been a year, I hope that others who were facing similar problems have had the chance to benefit from your advice. It's always great to see community members like you offering solutions to make software work more smoothly on newer operating systems.

If you ever need Windows keys for your computer, you can explore budget-friendly windows keys reddit options. Thanks again for your contribution, and I hope you've had a year of trouble-free navigation updates!
